Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid's mom is Chinese and she was born in Vietnam. Winston Barrett Munn is from the American South. Her parents divorced when she was the age of two. She grew up with her mother, who served with the United States Air Force, as well as her stepfather. The majority of her childhood was spent in Tokyo, Japan, even though the family moved around often. During that time she participated in many shows in the area and eventually became an Japanese fashion model. Olivia, who had relocated with her family to Los Angeles in order to fulfill her desire to become an actress was determined to pursue her goal after the family returned to America. After a few small performances and a few small roles, her career took off on an extremely promising direction after she secured the part as Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed television series Beyond the Break (2006) as well as the part of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007). She hosts the podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut", and "The Daily Nut". Surfing is her passion, and she practices it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). She has also earned a black belt for taekwondo. Her mother remarried at the age of two years old, to an Air Force Officer. Although the family moved a lot, her mother took her to Tokyo which she shared with the military. The University of Oklahoma is where she completed her studies in journalism, with a minor in Japanese as well as drama and dramatic arts.
